PBS NewsHour: Judy Woodruff- 'Supreme Court Hears Cases on Drug-Sniffing Dogs and Privacy'

Source:PBS NewsHour- Marcia Coyle, from the National Law Journal.

"The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) is an American public broadcaster and television program distributor.[6] It is a nonprofit organization and the most prominent provider of educational television programming to public television stations in the United States, distributing series such as American Experience, America's Test Kitchen, Antiques Roadshow, Arthur, Barney & Friends, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Downton Abbey, Finding Your Roots, Frontline, The Magic School Bus, Masterpiece Theater, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Nature, Nova, the PBS NewsHour, Reading Rainbow, Sesame Street, Teletubbies, Keeping up Appearances and This Old House."

From Wikipedia

"The Supreme Court heard two cases on police use of drug-sniffing dogs for criminal searches. At the heart of the debate is if officers can search a car or house without a warrant if a dog detects alleged drugs. Judy Woodruff talks to The National Law Journal's Marcia Coyle for a breakdown of the Supreme Court's recent session."

From the PBS NewsHour

Looks like the War on Drugs could take a big hit as it relates to privacy.

The Fiscal Times: Josh Boak- 'Where Does Mitt Romney Stand? Let's Go to the Replay'

Source:The Fiscal Times- people who have multiple political personalities and positions, need multiple heads. One head is just too, damn small for them. LOL

"It’s no secret that Mitt Romney has embraced being a political chameleon by changing positions from the primaries debates on key issues.

President Obama has slammed him for a nebulous tax policy, but with little apparent impact as the Nov. 6 election draws closer and both candidates are even in national polls. In some instances, the former Massachusetts governor had to walk back comments—such as his claim that 47 percent of the country are takers who see themselves as victims—that he says were either taken out of context or expressed inelegantly.

From The Fiscal Times

This is the political question of 2012 that Mitt Romney might not be able to answer: where does he stand on the issues. Because he's had so many positions on them over the years and in 2012 alone, that his Republican opponents brought up during the primaries.

Beans Baxter: Jafar Fallahi- 'On The Seattle News: Prostitution'

Source:Beans Baxter- talking about prostitution in Seattle, Washington.
"Jafar Fallahi reports what he knows to the local Q13 Seattle news who is reporting on an organized prostitution ring that circled around Jafar and the coffee shop he managed.

I look at prostitution like I look at gambling and marijuana: I'm not in favor of any of them at least in the sense that I would do any of them and I've made that personal choice for myself, but that doesn't mean I believe I have the right to force people to comply to my position on that. I believe government should not be telling people what they can do with their own bodies and how they should live their own lives.

We as a country have much more difficult problems to deal with as a country than prostitution (and horny bastards who aren't satisfied with their wives and girlfriends or can't get sex any other way) and I'm sure the City of Seattle has much worse problems to be dealing with as a City, than whether or not people are selling themselves sexually or making money having sex or running a prostitution business.

And people who are of course against legalizing prostitution, argue that prostitutes spread diseases, but I would argue that prostitution whether it's legal or not will always be with us. It's the oldest profession in the world for a reason (thanks to horny bastards who feel they can't get enough) and taxing and regulating it, which is what Las Vegas and Canada have done, is a much more effective way to deal with prostitution in America.

You think Uncle Sam and his nephews and nieces, are too greedy and have too much power and money now, start criminalizing everything that is dangerous and that comes with risks in America. And big government in America would soon look like a Communist State. Where people are afraid of eating or drinking something, because they're worried about getting arrested for it.

Without sex whether it comes with a price or not, we would then cease to exist as a country. Like sex prostitution will always be with us whether we like it or not. The question is then what do we do about it. A better option is to legalize it so you can then regulate it and make sure everyone involved is as healthy as possible before they get involved in the business. And aren't threats to the people who work in it.

The Young Turks: Cenk Uygur- John Fuglesang: 'Jesus, Republicans & The GOP'

Source:The Young Turks- Left-wing comedian John Fugelsang on TYT.
"The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur introduces a monologue on Jesus and Republican Presidential candidates from comedian John Fugelsang (Sexy Liberal Comedy Tour) who guest hosted the new TYT Network panel show The Point."

Vote Jesus is pretty simple as far as what the message is: "Vote Republican or you are voting against Christianity and America. You are voting against people who don't believe in these things." It's a desperate hail marry from the parking lot perhaps in a different city where the stadium is and where the game is being played, attempt to make Democrats look like Un-American, Atheist-Socialists. (The long version of Communists) Or like John Fuglesang and The Young Turks.

But on a more serious note: I take the Christian-Right's claim for their support for Jesus, like I take the broader Republican Party's support for Ronald Reagan the same way: which is not very seriously. And why do I say that? Well, because I'm right for one thing and it's the true as well, but if your'e someone who actually believes in facts and that facts matter, well you're in the minority at this point in America.

But it you want that from me, just look at what Ronald Reagan as either President or not as President and what he actually said and then look at what non-Conservative (anti-conservative, really) Republicans who claim to love and admirer Ronald Reagan, but disagree with him on most of the key issues in the country.

Reagan didn't want big government in America's bedrooms and homes. He couldn't give a damn about what free people did in the privacy of their own homes and lives, short of hurting innocent people. He's the man who said America was a nation of immigrants and was a the city on a shining hill. And believed American diversity and individualism was worth celebrating.

The Christian-Right and broader Far-Right in America, claim to love Jesus and Ronald, because they're both popular and because Reagan was a Republican and Jesus is who Christians celebrate and look up to, whether or not they actually understand what the man thought or believed in.

BBC: The Civil Rights Era

Source:BBC- covering the American civil rights movement in the 1960s.
"The footage you are about to see is unforgettable, even unimaginable. Both BBC News and CBS News extensively covered the American Civil Rights movement, from the 1955-1956 Montgomery bus boycott to the student-led sit-ins of the 1960s to the huge March on Washington in 1963. Rare footage includes Freedom Summer, Malcolm X and Black Power, and the death of Martin Luther King, Jr.

With a far-ranging selection of powerful, often wrenching images, our footage captures the danger, drama, and bravery of the civil rights movement. Visit www.bbcmotiongallery.com for more of this dramatic footage.

From BBC

Foreign news coverage of one of the most important periods in American history. Which is the power of BBC especially BBC News which is basically the CNN of Britain as far as their reach in their own country, but also in Europe and around the world.

I believe one of the reasons why the civil rights era and movement was covered not just so heavily in America where of course it should have been covered heavily, but around the world as well, was because America has always been at least since post-World War II as the beacon and spokesperson for liberal democracy. Not just in America, but around the world as well.

But if you were African-American, or form another non-European group, or weren't Anglo-Saxon-Protestant, America was basically an authoritarian state for you just because of your race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or all of those factors.

America was aa country back then that was denying roughly 1-10 of its own Americans their constitutional and equal rights under law. Laws prohibiting African-Americans from even getting an education, as well as voting and even getting employment or even bank loans.

America's government-sponsored racism, was used by Russia and Cuba, used against America during the Cold War and saying that we were hypocritical to speak out against authoritarianism around the world when we were subsidizing authoritarianism against one race of Americans in their own country.

From The Majority Report

I have no problem as a Liberal Democrat with Jill Stein running for President for the Green Party politically or philosophically, because she would be lucky to get 1-5% of the vote for President. And that's assuming both Democrats and Republicans forget to vote. Perhaps both party's will pass laws at the last minute, prohibiting the other party from voting. Like those so-called bogus ( to be generous ) Voter ID laws.

Libertarian Gary Johnson, has a better opportunity to cost President Obama the election and philosophically I don't have a problem either, because Dr. Stein is the Socialist voice for President. ( Especially since contrary to to popular belief with the Tea Party, Barack Obama is actually not a Socialist )

Barack Obama is the Center-Left pragmatic Progressive candidate for President, but not liberal enough for me. And Mitt Romney is basically the Conservative candidate for President ( depending on which Mitt Romney he decides to be or even who he is talking to and campaigning for ) and you can argue whether Mitt is a Conservative to begin with. But that's a different discussion.

Gary Johnson is the real Liberal in the race, but he's running as a Libertarian. But Jill Stein is the real Socialist voice in this presidential election and a country as big as we are and politically diverse as we are, all of our political factions deserve a voice in politics. Which is the main weakness with our two party political system.

CNN: Elliot C. McLaughlin- 'Marijuana Advocates Hope To Rise From Prohibition'

Source:CNN- "Just say no to prohibition." Kire Schneider.

"Turn on a television show or open a magazine in the United States today and you’re bound to see someone with a drink in hand – something unthinkable nearly a century ago.

Advocates of marijuana hope that someday that drug will emerge from its current “prohibition” period, the same way alcohol did, and become not only legal but as socially acceptable as having a drink.

Could that happen? Depends who you ask. Advocates point to the November ballot in Colorado and Washington, where voters approved legal pot for everyone, not just for those who have a medical reason...

From CNN

A growing consensus in America that marijuana prohibition is a bad idea.

Paul J. Watson: Real Time With Bill Maher- 'Ben Affleck Defends TSA 'Dick Grabbing'

Source:Real Time With Bill Maher- Alt-Right loudmouth, Ann Coulter.
"During a recent appearance on Bill Maher's Real Time, actor Ben Affleck defended the TSA's policy of grabbing people's genitals. Affleck probably isn't too fussed about what the TSA do because he is driven straight to the runway to board his private jet - he doesn't even have to go through TSA security!"

From Paul Joseph Watson

Ben Affleck, taking another stand for Big Government! I could just imagine him running for office as a wannabe politician and imagine what his campaign message would be.  He would say something to the affect:

“If you think you have too much freedom and privacy in your life and have too many decisions to make, vote for Ben Affleck. Because I would support policies to take all of that freedom and privacy away from you. Vote for Ben Affleck and you won’t even have to worry about your private parts being private. Because I would appoint Dick Grabbing to run TSA for us. And he would take care of that for you. And he and his Dick Grabbers will be there to make sure your private parts are never too private at the airport.”

Now imagine that for a campaign theme: Americans For Big Government and the Nanny State Alliance and Americans For Outlawing Freedom and Privacy, would endorse Mr. Affleck faster then snow would melt in Los Angeles in July.

Beautiful, sexy woman, perhaps at the private room at a club, or perhaps the girlfriend of some band member at the club. Sorry I don't have more information about her, but she's dressed like she's at a nightclub and dressed perfectly for that.

Source:The Daily Times- Beautiful party girl.
Where they got the title of this video of: “sucking Michael Jackson hot white.” I have no idea, because this video has absolutely nothing to do with Michael Jackson. It is simply a beautiful brunette sitting on the stool on her cell phone from late 2008. In a tank top and skinny denim jeans. And she looks great, but the video is short, but what she get to see from her is pretty sexy.

Again a beautiful baby-face brunette on her phone with beautiful legs and a nice butt in skinny denim jeans. I wish I knew the jeans brand, but a very attractive woman. But this video has nothing to do with Michael Jackson. It is simply a very attractive woman sitting on her stool pretending to be on the phone.

Talk Radio News Service: 'Tales From The Spin Room- Democrats React'

Source:Talk Radio News Service- President Obama's Spokeswoman, Jennifer Psaki.
"Obama's top advisors and spokespeople weigh in on what they call a successful first debate for the incumbent, President Obama."

When one side is talking about the behavior of their opponent in a debate and aren't talking about the substance of the debate, they are admitting they lost the debate. The same thing with the Obama Campaign making the first debate about the moderator, when they knew they lost.

Imagine a football team's head coach who's team just lost by 21 points and at the post game press conference he's saying that: "Well, the reason why we lost the game because our opponents tackled really hard and played really aggressive. Their offensive line blocked really tough and they just did things that should be illegal in this league and we weren't ready for that style of play. Otherwise we would've whipped them because we have a better team." How ridiculous would that have looked to the press and the fans of his team with the head coach complaining about the other team playing too hard and his team not ready for that.

I realize we're talking about American politics and one of the keys of survival and they teach this in political science is not to make public what you're actually feeling. Especially when the news is negative. And instead talk to people including the media as if they're morons. Not because they're morons but so you can keep your supporters with you. And now the secret is out why used car salesman and personal injury attorney's, are more popular than politicians and the people who work for them.

Vice President Joe Biden won the debate tonight, because he was stronger and tougher for his boss President Obama, then Representative Paul Ryan was for Governor Romney.

PDX Justice: Greg Palast- 'The Best Democracy Money Can Buy'

Source:PDX Justice- New-Left political journalist Greg Palast.
"Progressive investigative journalist, Greg Palast, speaking at a benefit for KBOO Community Radio, the Portland Alliance monthly, and the Rearguard student newspaper, on April 5, 2003, in Portland, Oregon."

From PDX Justice

In a liberal democracy like America, you want the people and that is everyone who can vote at least, be able to not only question, but lobby their public officials including Congress, the President, as well as their state and local public officials. Lobbying by itself is not a crime, a sin, or even a problem. Giving money to politicians, is not a crime, or sin, or a problem by itself.

It's when lobbying and financial contributions, go underground when politics goes underground it's when it becomes a problem. To use a hypothetical: When Senator Smith (or whoever) takes millions from the oil and gas industry and constantly votes against clean air standards and most people including the people who Senator Smith is supposed to represent, don't know that their Senator took all of that oil and gas money, then his or her voters don't know why their Senator is voting for big energy all the time and against clean air standards and they don't have the whole story.

The Senator Smith example is just a hypothetical, but if you're desperate for me to be bipartisan or even nonpartisan, how about Senator Jones who consistently votes against public choice and even public school choice and then it later turns out that Senator Jones takes millions of dollars from teacher unions who of course are against any school choice and even private schools at all. And of course Senator Jones constituents don't know about those campaign contributions.

People who are what I call blind or coin flip voters, people if so-called Voter ID laws  ( which are really Democratic voter suppression laws ) have any use for at all it would be for non-educated voters. Not talking about people who didn't go to college or even finish high school. But people who don't know who they're voting for or against. Because they haven't done their homework on perspective political candidates. Perhaps their dog ate their homework, or perhaps they simply just fed their dog their homework. And decided not to do their homework, because they were too busy staring at their i-phone, or worried about missing their favorite reality TV show.

Again, I'm not against lobbying or even private sector and individual campaign contributions. It's when they're blind because either voters are too dumb and irresponsible to follow the money ( to use a cliche ) or the politician is not required under law to disclose those political contributions. And of course they wouldn't do it voluntarily especially if they have a consistent voting record backing the groups that they take money from.

In any free and open liberal democratic society like America, you have to have disclosure and it has to be enforced responsibility, to prevent politicians from being bought. And you also need smart educated voters to hold their public officials accountable.

RT America: Jill Stein: 'Barack Obama Has Been Worst Than George W. Bush'

Source:RT America- 2012 Green Party nominee for President, Dr. Jill Stein: one of the handful of people on the Far-Left, that can even make Senator Bernie Sanders look moderate.
"Jill Stein: 'Barack Obama Has Been Worst Than George W. Bush." Originally from RT America, but the video has since been deleted or blocked on YouTube.

First of all, to correct the record: 25% of the 2009 American Recovery Act were tax cuts, all targeted to the middle class. Tax cuts that both Mitt Romney and Jill Stein want to repeal, resulting in tax hikes for the, well middle class. People who simply can't afford to pay extra in taxes right now. So there's at least one area that separates President Obama from both Governor Romney and Dr. Stein, who claimed that the Recovery Act was mostly tax cuts and she said a couple of days ago, tax cuts for the rich.

Completely bogus ( to be overly generous ) claims and it's beyond me how someone who is running for President of the United States and won their party's nomination for President, does not know that. But people who are aren't running for President do know that, because they've actually seen the bill.

Under Dr. Stein the Obama/Bush tax cuts disappear, including the middle class tax cuts, that took more working Americans off of the tax rolls and lowered the bottom tax rate. People who are low-income workers and lower middle class workers pay, to 10%. Vote for the Green Party, you are voting for middle class tax hikes.

As far as the Green Deal, based off of the New Deal from the 1930s ( obviously, duh! ) putting the Federal Government essentially in charge of job creation and economic growth and would put the Federal Government in charge of prioritizing what projects and what works need to be done in America.

Putting the Federal Government in charge of hiring all of these unemployed workers to do this work. And one way that Dr. Stein says she would pay for this, a roughly 800B$ stimulus package, all public sector centered, is by pulling all of our troops out of the Afghan and Iraq Wars. By ending those wars.

I'm for ending those wars now myself, but the problem with financing an economic plan with money from Afghanistan and Iraq, is that both of those wars were put on the National Debt Card. Not a dime of either war has ever been paid for. So what a hypothetical ( or perhaps science fiction ) Stein Administration would do, is stop the borrowing of hundreds of billions of dollars to fund one thing and take all of that money to be borrowed to pay for something else.

I hate to put it this way, because I'm not a fan of the two-party system, even as a Liberal Democrat whose party has benefited greatly from it, but a vote for Jill Stein for President, is literally a vote for Mitt Romney.

The more votes that President Obama doesn't get, are votes that don't go against Mitt Romney. And the way to fix this in the future, is to blow up the two-party system and replace it with a system that would accompany, Democratic Socialists, like the Greens, Libertarians, and Independents.

Dustin Hurst: U.S. Senator Denny Rehberg & U.S. Representative Denny Rehberg- 'Spar in Second U.S. Senate Debate'

Source:Dustin Hurst- not often you see two members of Congress debating each other for the same Congressional seat.
"Jon Tester and Denny Rehberg spar in second U.S. Senate debate. Held on the Montana State University-Billings campus Oct. 8, 2012. For more, visit:Watch Dog."

From Dustin Hurst

This debate looked a little like Representative Dennis Rehberg vs President Obama. Representative Rehberg spent a lot of time during the debate trying to make Senator Tester look like President Obama. "

Senator Tester and President Obama agree on this and that. And Senator Tester made the good point to Representative Rehberg that: "Dennis, you are not running against the President, but you are running against me. This is not the presidential election but the Montana Senatorial election. And we are running against each other to decide who should represent Montana in the U.S. Senate, as well as in Congress as a whole and that if you want to run against the President, you should've ran for President yourself, instead of running for U.S. Senate, which is what you decided to do instead."

Which tells me that Representative Rehberg believes that he's down in the race and needs to make Senator Tester look worse than he is and compare him with a President, who is probably not very popular in Montana.

Source:CFL Video- The Calgary Stampeders, meeting the Sacramento Gold Miners, in 1993.

"CFL 1993 SACRAMENTO GOLDMINERS AT CALGARY STAMPEDERS"

From CFL Video

The American experience for the CFL was a good idea, how to get more exposure and attendance and fans into the Canadian Football League, to draw more fans and to make more money. And the idea was at one point have a Canadian Conference and an American Conference, to play for the Can Am Championship (or something) where it would be a big event in both Canada a country of back then, of around 30M people and America a country then of 260M people.

The problem was that the American experience in the CFL wasn't thoughtfully put through, going into places like Shreveport, Louisiana, a market that most Americans had probably never heard of pre-CFL and most Americans are probably not that familiar with since. And Las Vegas a big major city but not much of a history as being a pro sports market. They are known for adult entertainment for the most part, where people come from sports towns, to get away from that type of life.

And CFL America had management groups, that had very little if any experience if any, in how to run a sports franchise, which is something I believe the new USFL hopefully understands and will be successful in creating an alternative pro football league, to the NFL.

The Contender (2000) Ring of Fire: Kim Carnes & Jeff Bridges

Source:The Daily Times- The bridge that the car goes off in the opening scene and lands in that lake.

One of the best opening scenes to a movie I've ever seen, I just wish the music was longer. After the first scene you at the very least know this movie is at least going to be interesting.

A popular Governor being consider to be the next Vice President of the United States. Out fishing while being interviewed about that. Car goes off the bridge in the lake where these two people are fishing and of course the Governor of Virginia Jack Hathaway ( played by William Peterson ) jumps in the lake with what looks like no pre-thought put into it to save the woman who is presumably drowning in her car that is underwater in the lake.

Governor Hathaway is not successful in saving the drowning woman. ( Not exactly surprising ) which essentially costs his his shot at the Vice Presidency. Because the President didn't want another Ted Kennedy looking scandal to have to deal with as President. You should see The Contender for yourself to find out exactly how and why the car goes off into the lake.

Two great franchises with long histories of winning, who every time they seem to play each other, their games have a lot of meaning to them, because it's generally about winning the division or getting first place.

PBS: NewsHour- Ray Suarez: 'President Hugo Chavez- Faces Serious Challenger in Venezuelan Elections'

Source:PBS NewsHour- Venezuelan democracy in acton.
"The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) is an American public broadcaster and television program distributor.[6] It is a nonprofit organization and the most prominent provider of educational television programming to public television stations in the United States, distributing series such as American Experience, America's Test Kitchen, Antiques Roadshow, Arthur, Barney & Friends, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Downton Abbey, Finding Your Roots, Frontline, The Magic School Bus, Masterpiece Theater, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Nature, Nova, the PBS NewsHour, Reading Rainbow, Sesame Street, Teletubbies, Keeping up Appearances and This Old House...

From Wikipedia

"For 14 years, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez maintained power battling military coups, presidential term limit amendments, even cancer. But for the upcoming elections, a typically fractured opposition is united behind challenger Henrique Capriles Radonski, threatening Chavez's stronghold over the presidency. Ray Suarez reports. PBS News

From the PBS NewsHour

If President Hugo Chavez was a Democratic Socialist, he wouldn't have any real issues with a free independent private media. Doesn't mean there wouldn't be any state-run media, but by en-large the media would be privately controlled to hold public officials accountable.

But you have to know that one of President Chavez's biggest political hero's is former President Fidel Chavez of the Communist Republic of Cuba. So we're not talking about a Social Democrat or Democratic Socialist, but someone with Far-Left authoritarian leanings like Fidel. Perhaps not a hard-core Communist, since Venezuela still somewhat has democratic multi-party elections there and there is a Center-Right liberal democratic opposition there.

Any Communist in their right mind would have outlawed any political opposition and certainly any private media. But what looks like is going on in Venezuela is that they don't like what the Chavez Administration under the Socialist Party there and what they're doing even if they're not pure Communists and that they want a change there. And to have more freedom and ability to live their own lives.

Tavis Smiley Show: Jeffrey Sachs- 'A Possible More Progressive President Obama In A 2nd Term'

Source:The Tavis Smiley Show- Professor Jeffrey Sachs, on The Tavis Smiley Show, talking about President Barack Obama.
"Jeffrey Sachs: A Possible More Progressive President Obama In A 2nd Term." Originally from The Tavis Smiley Show, but the video has since been deleted or blocked on YouTube.

"In 1981, Ronald Reagan came to office famously declaring that "government is the problem.” Barack Obama’s recent inaugural address, with its ringing endorsement of a larger role for government in addressing America’s – and the world’s – most urgent challenges, marks the end of the 30-year "Reagan Revolution" that followed."

From Jeffrey Sachs

I don't want to see President Obama become more socialist ( let's say ) in a second term: meaning he'll look to expand the Federal Government and create all new social insurances and so-forth.

President Obama is going to have to concentrate on the economy starting off and hopefully he'll get something like the American Jobs Act passed through the next Congress, that's built around infrastructure investment, moving towards energy independence, through investing in all of our natural resources, more tax relief for the middle class, to encourage more consumer spending.

These are things that we need to do as a country, create economic and job growth, so we can move towards real deficit reduction. I believe President Obama understands these things and will be concentrating on them.

Barack Obama is not George McGovern (or Bernie Sanders, of today) he's not looking to create a new New Deal, he didn't run for President to expand the Federal Government, but to meet the challenges of the country and they mostly has something to do with the economy. I don't believe he even believes in economic socialism, but is more of a Teddy Roosevelt, perhaps even Jack Kennedy Progressive, when it comes to the economy.

Nation Tricolore: 'Phil Esposito's Interview 1972 (HD)'

Source:Nation Tricolore- NHL player Phil Esposito, playing for the Canadian national team against Russia, in 1972.

"More than 15,000 heckling Canadian fans boo their team while watching game 4 at Vancouver's Pacific Coliseum. Canada plays poorly for most of the game, with 38 of 41 shots on goal stopped by Soviet goalie sensation Vladislav Tretiak. The game ends with a score of 5-3 for the Soviets and home-team fans boo Canada right off the ice. Assistant captain Phil Esposito is not taking this lightly. He skates back onto the rink, sopping with sweat, and scolds Canada.

"I'm really disappointed [with the fans]. I am completely disappointed. I cannot believe it," he says with a hangdog face. "Some of our guys are really, really down in the dumps. We know, we're trying, I mean, hell, we're doing the best we can."

From Nation Tricolore

1972 wasn't the heart of the Cold War between America and Russia, with President Richard Nixon working to normalize relations between the United States and Soviet Union, but there was still that national and military rivalry between the Super Powers to the point that every time both countries got a chance to compete against each other, it was a big deal.

Canada, wasn't a superpower, but they were on our side along with the European Union and wanted to show that they could not only compete with Russia, but beat them as well.

Samuel Wilson: C-SPAN- '1992 3rd Party Presidential Debate'

Source:Samuel Wilson- Howard Phillips: 1992 presidential nominee for the Tax Payers Party.
"This was a very interesting debate held in 1992, which featured Lenora Fulani of the New Alliance Party; John Hagelin of the Natural Law Party and Howard Phillips of the United States Taxpayers Party."

From Samuel Wilson

This is one of the reasons why I love C-SPAN, because they don't just cover Democrats and Republicans, but all of the political party's that have a voice and message. Now, they obviously cover the Democrats and Republicans more, because those are the party's that are always in power. At least until a third-party emerges and knocks them out-of-power.

The main problem with a two-party System in a country, thats as politically as diverse as ours and is as big as ours, both in land and in population, is that Democrats and Republicans aren't simply big enough to speak to the concerns and politics of the whole country.

40% of the country is not a Democrat or a Republican and are either not registered or a member of a third-party that better represents their political beliefs. Whether they are more to the right or left than Democrats and Republicans or are in the center. And they are the largest voting block in the United States. And I believe C-SPAN recognizes this and has decided that other voices should be represented, especially in a liberal democracy, thats as big and diverse as ours.

What C-SPAN did back in 1992 and I believe they still do, at least to a certain extent today, is something that I wish other networks (broadcast, cable or whatever) if these third party's, even if a third party is fairly strong, for a third party, like the Reform Party back in 1996, aren't able to get into the presidential debates, these party's should comes together and form third-party debates between the Socialists, Libertarians and Independents and so-forth and give them about the same amount of time as the major party presidential debates.

If third-party debates did well, you see if C-SPAN, PBS, maybe CNN, picks them up or tries to get them up. And you would see our entire political spectrum in this country represented. That goes from Far-Left, to the Far-Right and everything else in between. Americans are looking for other voices in American politics and a system like this would give it to them.
